The good news? You'll never run out of things to watch. The bad news? You could waste your whole weekend deciding! But never fear, because we've rounded up the best of the movies that are new to Netflix this month. Read on for our recommendations, from a new, edge-of-your-seat thriller to some classic '90s romantic comedies.
1 Awake
Jane the Virgin star Gina Rodriguez headlines this new Netflix Original thriller set in a post-apocalyptic reality in which humans are no longer able to sleep. Rodriguez plays a young mother whose daughter (one of the only people on the planet who can get any shuteye) could be the key to reversing the phenomenon.

2 Wish Dragon
From Sony Pictures Animation, Wish Dragon is a colorful and lively family adventure about a college student and his wish-granting dragon pal. Crazy Rich Asians star Constance Wu and Star Trek star John Cho are among the voice cast.
3 Sweet & Sour
The rom-com Sweet & Sour comes from South Korea and tells the story of a young man who falls in love with a nurse when he's ill but becomes distanced from her when he realizes that there's more than competitiveness between him and his work rival. Stay till the end for a twist you won't have seen coming.
4 Million Dollar Baby
This drama about a boxer (Hilary Swank) and the gruff old-timer (Clint Eastwood) she convinces to train her took home four Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Actress. It's now on Netflix, though we recommend having some time planned to just stare out into space when you finish this weeper.

5 Stand by Me
One of the all-time great coming of age movies, Stand by Me is based on a Stephen King novella and had a huge impact on the careers of young actors Wil Wheaton, River Phoenix, Jerry O'Connell, and Corey Feldman. The four play childhood friends who attempt to find the body of a boy who's gone missing—a journey that ends up changing their lives.
6 The Best Man
A wedding is a perfect setting for a rom-com, as The Best Man proves. Old grudges and crushes come to the fore when a group of friends get back together for one couple's big day. The cast includes Nia Long, Taye Diggs, Morris Chestnut, Harold Perrineau, Regina Hall, and Sanaa Lathan, all of whom came back 14 years later for the Christmas-themed sequel, The Best Man Holiday.
7 The Big Lebowski
Who cares if you can already quote this Coen Brothers comedy from start to finish? That's no reason not to pop The Big Lebowski on again now that it's streaming on Netflix.
8 Fools Rush In
Between Friends seasons, Matthew Perry took on this rom-com, starring opposite Salma Hayek. They play two people who meet by chance and have a one-night stand, only to end up tied to each other when she learns that she's pregnant and decides to keep the baby.
